The 360 Goes 1337

Remember all of those rumors about a black-shelled, HDMI-supporting 120gb-harddrive-sporting 360 that Microsoft repeatedly denied? Well, it turns out they weren’t rumors at all. According to gaming mag Game Informer, the Xbox 360 Elite is real and it’s coming late this April with a $479 pricetag. Here’s what the Elite will come with:
* It’s black
* HDMI port and HDMI cable (eat it, Sony)
* 120GB hard drive (a stand-alone model will be available for under $200)
* A $479 price tag (it’s still less than a PS3!)
* No HD-DVD integration
For more info, Endgadget’s got a pretty comprehensive write-up on the subject.

I hear that, perhaps this fall, the l33t version will take the place of the Premium version and go back to a white shell. Personally, I prefer the white shell - it looks prettier, and matches the Wii.
Adding HDMI input is a good move IMO, especially since my 2 component inputs are already occupied. So basically what I’m saying is, after the HDMI upgrade is incorporated into a white shell and the price drops, maybe the Mrs will finally let me get one this Christmas? [/wishfulthinking]
LMAO eat it indeed, you sorry Sony bitches.
wait..wait..no..integration? WTF?
I would rather pay the extra $180 and have the Blu Ray Playback functionality. I digress… I WILL be waiting for the winner of the format war before I spend any large amounts of $.
To relieve me of my ignorance, what does “* HDMI port and HDMI cable (eat it, Sony)” mean?
