Six Years And Counting

Laura and I recently celebrated six-years of marriage with a trip out to the beautiful Oregon Coast. It’s been a bumpy road in spots, but I think we agree that we have a wonderful relationship. It has been forged and tested in the fires of adversity, but has come out stronger each time. I think our marriage has seen more growth in this past year than in any of the years before. I think we’ve become a great deal more attuned to one another’s needs and idiosyncracies.
As for the celebration, we loaded up the kids and Samus (for her first trip to the beach) in the van and made our way West, bound for Cape Lookout. We spent the day basking in the sun, building sandcastles, and wading in the Pacific. We had a nice little picnic, dug up some small crustaceans that burrowed into the sand as the tides swept out. Before heading home we stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory for ice cream, cheese curds and terriyaki beef sticks. It was a great way to celebrate six years.

Love you!
Congrats guys. It’s weird; we were just thinking about going to Cape Lookout, but no-can-do with the mono. Bastards.
Congratulations! Here is to 60 more!
