Powerdesks
I’m not sure if I’m more surprised by the fact that someone thought of the “Powerdesk”, or by the fact that no one thought of it before them. At any rate, I think the concept of building your PC directly into a work desk is great in an aesthetic sense. Of course, functionality is another subject altogether.
Given that I don’t have large sums of money lying around in want of some extravagance to be spent on, I can’t afford to speak to how well Powerdesks are executed. Personally, I love the notion of a nice, clean workspace, free of wires and the like. Still, I wonder at how easily one could upgrade such things, or, God forbid, have repairs made on them. Innovative? Yes. Practical? Undoubtedly not.
