Peekvid: Power to the People
Eriq linked me to Peekvid today. I have to say that I love the concept so much that I’m more than willing to overlook the poor video quality of their content. How such a thing can manage to exist in an environment which is becoming increasingly hostile towards the communist ideology expressed in the notion that entertainment should be “for the people” is beyond me. I’m sure there will be some chest-thumping and poo-flinging from those that rightfully own the material that Peekvid is sharing with those of us shunting through the tubes on a regular basis. I’m equally certain that any employer that offers unregulated use of the internets to its employees trembles at the imminent threat that such a site poses to overall productivity.

If I right-click the video within Firefox, it SEEMS to give me the option of blowing it up to full screen (which would admittedly be pretty damned Atari lookin..) but I haven’t gotten it to work. Internet Exploder doesn’t even seem to have the (false) option.

Peekvid’s very cool. It’s a labor of copyright infingement and piracy, no doubt, but it’s wonderful for what it is. They have Two Stupid Dogs! What’s more, their site works very well on the Wii.
