Frolfin’ FTW!
As you may or may not know (hell, you probably don’t even care), I’m getting into disc golf (a.k.a. frisbee golf, a.k.a. frolf) in a big way. I think I’ve gone out to the Orchard Park course almost every day for the past week and a half. I’m finally hitting my stride when it comes to those long drives. My side-arm’s come a long way of late, and I’m finally getting the disc to sit down for an even glide path on a fairly consistent basis.

My real problem is my short game. I need to really put in some time on approaches and putts, because it’s just killing me. I’ll get within putting distance of the basket on my first drive, but then I just choke and end up getting par on what really should have been a birdie. My failure to get under par on account of my ineptitude in the short game is nothing short of awe-inspiring.
But I am far from discouraged. In fact, I did the natural thing and blamed my equipment. So, I traded in my Rubber Putter from Lightning for Innova’s XD Putt & Approach disc. I’m hoping the lower profile will limit the floating effect I experienced with my now-former putter. In addition, I picked up a caddy bag, also from Innova, with “birfday” money that I got from the ‘rents (Thanks Mom and Dad!). So, yeah, I’m going all out with this. I’ve never taken to any outdoor activity with this kind of genuine fervor. This is quickly going from a mild distraction to a genuine pastime for me. Even more incredible is the fact that it’s getting Marco, our resident World of Warcraft Addict, out of the house. I’m hoping to hit Pier Park sometime soon so that I can put what I’ve learned to test on some longer, more challenging holes.

I am so glad you are enjoying the physical activity. By the end of summer you will be down to 150 at the rate you are going!
As you put it - “Frolf FTW!”
