Byron & Brynn’s First Days Of School

Well, it’s been a whirlwind of activity around the house the past week or so as the new school year came sweeping in. Man, did it come up quick. We were lucky enough to get out to the beach one last time before it all started. Byron’s transition into first grade proved difficult initially, but it has been getting better every day. He’s also developed a zealous appreciation for weekends. I’m not sure who had the hardest time with Byron going to school full time: Laura or Byron. Regardless, it’s getting easier and I’m proud of both of them for how well they’ve weathered the change.
Brynn started preschool this past week as well. She’s going through a preschool program offered by a local dance/gymnastics academy. So far she’s taken it quite well. I mean, the whole thing hasn’t even phased her. It’s just business as usual for our little girl. She’s so intrepid. At any rate, enjoy the pics.
PS~We forgot to send the digital camera along with Laura and Brynn to preschool, so Laura bought a disposable. We’ll get those pics up as soon as they’re developed.

It seems so weird that these pictures were from only a few days ago. I think that we have all slipped into the “back to school” routine quite nicely.
Also, the boy that sits next to Byron in class is a good friend of Byron’s already. His name is Chancey and Byron likes him because he looks like him, which is not saying much because today Byron told me that Samuel L. Jackson also looks like him.
lmao @ Sammy Jackson
Although, I can see the Chancey resemblance (assuming that’s him pictured above).
MAN! How time flies. Claire started school this fall too.. albeit Kindergarten. She is loving it. Jamie is to.. oddly enough. I literaly cried as we dropped her off on her 1st day.
It is very bitter sweet for me.
