Halo 3 In Action: The Extended Cut

What we have here folks is an extensive look at Halo 3’s multiplayer suite in action. It’s set on a map called “Last Resort” which is an expansive reimagining of Halo 2’s ever-popular “Zanzibar”. For someone who doesn’t consider himself a hardcore Halo fan, I will admit that this extended glimpse into the […]

The Joker Is Ichi?

Rumor has it that the image on the left is Mr. Heath Ledger playing the Joker in the follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight. Dean linked me to it earlier, and as soon as i saw it, I couldn’t help but think that Chris Nolan and the rest of the production team had pulled […]

Guitar Hero II

The aloof disregard that I visited upon the Guitar Hero kiosks in such vendors as Best Buy and Fry’s was utterly feigned. In those moments all I really wanted to do was tear that plastic axe from the weak, clammy clutches of the pimply-faced adolescent that was playing and start doing a little shredding of […]

Motorola X205 Gaming Headset

The flimsy construction hasn’t been my chief complaint regarding the pack-in headset so much as the shoddy sound quality it offers. Overall, voices just came through muffled and drowned out. With OK Company […]

Go Tornados!

Byron played in his first soccer game as a Southside Tornado yesterday. I don’t know that mere words can fully communicate the unbridled chaos and confusion that is 10 kindergarteners scrambling after a checkered ball in a middle-school gymnasium, but it was an utter blast watching them go at it. The other team seemed a […]

Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Swords In Action

I’m excited about Ninja Gaiden finding its way back onto a Nintendo platform. Despite Itagaki’s pains to describe Ninja Gaiden: DS’s gameplay mechanics, I still wanted to see it in action. I happened upon this today, and I have to say that I’m impressed with what Team Ninja is looking to do. Ninja Gaiden: DS […]

Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Swords

News of Tecmo’s plans to bring the much beloved Ninja Gaiden series to Nintendo’s stylus-slingin’ DS handheld came as little surprise to me. Team Ninja’s head ninja in charge, Tomonobu Itagaki, has long expressed an interest in working with a handheld. Given that I sold my PSP, I was glad to hear that they were […]
