Poem ~ Cherry Blossom Discourse

pinks and whites array
in explosive display
each outstretched bough
birthing flowered clouds
swaying ivory antennae dance
like lustful multitudes entranced
each limb decorated in full force
such is the cherry blossoms’ discourse
Dedicated to the cherry blossom trees outside my office window. They’re telling me to go out of doors. They’re also telling me to say to Hell with rhythm and meter.

Poem ~ untitled

the clamor of the morning commute
cut the crisp aurora air as I walked the dogs
with its quiet deafening roar
it was a sea without rhythm
comprised purely of flow
and nothing in the way of ebb
All take and no give
a raging stream of
commerce and industry
spilling recklessly
through our lives
careening its way into the city
tearing through it
with the savage, ugly […]

V for Vendetta

I saw a dark territory into which we, as a country, are edging further and further. And that vision of the future terrifies me.

Poem ~ shadowboxing

ambition drags itself up from the mat

Poem ~ Assassin

a
bullet
out of the
past you shoot
through my mind
in blinding flash
with violent fashion
splitting the psyche
splintering of the id
exiting in explosive
vulnerability, things
untouched, thoughts
unsaid and as all fades
a passionate red I reel
from the fatality of a
woundthat never bled
yet it is gaping wide, my
soul gushes from inside

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (Xbox360)

If you hadn’t guessed, I’ve really got nothing bad to say about GRAW. As they’ve always managed to do in the past, UbiSoft has once again made good on all of their promises.

Walk the Line

…it is in Cash’s own personal journey for redemption that we find that even the firmest believers can falter, and that real character lies in our ability to pick ourselves up and continue on the path to enlightenment.

Poem ~ fallen

hard and furious is this spirit blown
as though by mad whipping winds is it thrown
and amid this vortex plummets alone,
for its beauteous wings have not yet grown
….
and I wonder if its flight shall ever be flown

Poem ~ Morning Routine

wake in woolen womb
life beckons with howling tenacity
water breaks
expulsion imminent
cold, bleak world waits
to slap the gasp of life
into this befuddled, groggy mind
shrugging off of dreams and comfort
stumble downstairs
arm in sleeve
hand on rail
skipping steps
muttered conversation
with no one in particular
let out dogs with no small amount of envy
coffee maker gurgles, giving voice to my own
unspoken protestations
tick-tock tapping […]
