Depeche Mode: Precious

David Gahan’s interpretation of Martin Gore’s lyrics have always had a knack for tapping into that melancholy part of me, making me find joy in sadness.

Peter Jackson’s King Kong

It is the incredible way in which life and soul have been created in the making of Kong that is the enabling force behind Peter Jackson’s vision of the classic. We are given a glimpse of an almost human and undeniably beautiful being in Kong, and in that vision we are privy to the ultimate tragedy that is his death.

Respect

I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t think to do it first. It’s a terrible feeling, when a good friend extends something so gracious and flattering as this before you yourself have a chance to do it.  I’m truly honored to be held in such esteem by someone whom I, honestly, respect and admire so deeply.

Kameo: Elements of Power (Xbox360)

Kameo is easily one of the best launch titles out there for the Xbox 360. Granted, at a quick eight to ten hours, I wish the experience lasted a bit longer. Nonetheless, it has a great deal to offer both the casual and the hardcore gamer.

Poem ~ Gravity

GRAVITY
it’s no coincidence
nor some
flight of fickle fancy
that binds me to you
as the moon holds
sway over the sea
I am
invisibly and yet
irrevocably bound
by this entirely necessary
traction of our two souls
with you
there is equilibrium
without you
there is no balance
with you
there is solace
without you
there is tumult
